Ajay Seth is a firm believer and upholder of the ideal of education for all. He believes that mass education of the demography is one of the fundamental national agendas that should be stressed upon to creating a path towards a concrete empowering future. He shares his views with Prime Minister Shree Narendra Modi, as the Kanya Kevalani and Shala Praveshotsav initiatives have decreased school dropout rates in classes I to V to a meagre 2.09% in 2010-11 from 20.93% ten years ago. Ajay Seth is also a strong believer in Shree Narendra Modi’s Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao initiative launched in early 2015 which is aimed at not only decreasing the child sex ratio gap (918 girls to 1000 boys in 2011) but also the empowerment of the female gender.
100% Literacy
Low literacy rates through inaccessibility to education also reflect upon the economic condition of the Indian demography. As a result, child labour has always been an issue of concern in society where children born into poor families (or abandoned) are forced to work in order to fend for themselves. Ajay Seth is a firm believer in the abolishment of child labour as he views this practice as a straight violation of basic human rights.
Caring for Elders
On the opposite spectrum of the youth remain the old, the fragile and the ignored. This issue is extremely close to his heart. According to him, one of the few things the aged long for is companionship. Even though financial assistance is provided to the older generations, they are almost always completely neglected and denied companionship. Ajay Seth believes that younger generations should always give a certain amount of their time and energy to their older counterparts, as they were not only once their guardians and protectors but also a repository of historical knowledge from the bygone era.
